Bradley Barton Primary School and Nursery
Part of the Bradley Bug Recovery Network
Working closely with the school we are focussing on the transformation of the car park banks from grassy verges to a meadow habitat. In time the verges will become a living bank of colour supporting a wider range of invertebrates and pollinating insects.

Initial meeting at the school to look at the site and identify areas within the grounds for us to help with.
The banks get an end of year cut - the cut wild plants already there are left to help self seed for next year.

Seed sowing day!
Our first summer after sowing wildflower seeds and a total transformation. There are now lots more nectar resources for local pollinators and the project is being supported by the fantastic Devon Environment Foundation!
One year on and after another sowing of yellow rattle + other wildflowers, some harvested from 2022, we have a really established mini wildflower meadow. Thanks to all the pupils and teachers who helped with the sowing :)
